A very expressive background, which was created by different layers of acrylic paint over graphite lines; partly made to run by spraying water and washed out, warped with a rubber brush and almost translucent shapes created. The background appears almost geometric. With lightened acrylic paints, the artist has set lights on this surface and further worked out individual shapes with darker and lighter shades. This created a uniquely structured background with a lot of depth. Only after the background had been completely worked out were the abstract flowers applied almost casually with a quick brush stroke, almost dabbed on. Here light and dark, neutral and vibrant colors, geometric and free forms alternate and form a wonderful composition.
